It has been 78 years since a group of Maryknoll Sisters came from New York to start the school in Hong Kong. From a mere handful of students, it has turned into tens of thousands, all serving as useful and productive citizens in various parts of the world. Many of these Sisters have passed away, but there are still a number in their ripe old age who can no longer work or take care of themselves. They need constant care which is very costly to the Maryknoll community.

In their prime of youth, they have dedicated themselves to educate each one of us, sharing with us the true Maryknoll spirit which is "to respond as people yearning for authentic justice and reconciliation in the midst of a fractured and divided world."

Now it is our turn to respond to their generosity and to repay what little we can, according to our capacity. Please give generously and show your support for this worthy fundraising event. Join the MCS/MSS family on April 5 and show your appreciation for the Maryknoll Sisters.

Tickets for the event are fast disappearing. Please contact any committee member to reserve yours.

Date: Saturday, April 5, 2003
Venue: Granite Club, 2350 Bayview Ave., Toronto
Time: Reception:     6 p.m.
Dinner:          7 p.m.

We distributed a membership directory in April 2001. Because it was so well-received, we've decided to update the members' data and print another one for May 2003. Please use this update form for any changes.   Alternatively you can send it to Anna Chan, 88 Latimer Ave., Toronto ON M5N 2M2, or mailto:annachan@rogers.com latest by March 15, 2003 so the committee has time to get it ready for May AGM distribution. Don't forget to include your email address too.
